Our University and İstanbul University were matched within the scope of the “YÖK Anatolian Project”, which aims to match newly established or developing young universities with senior universities with more advanced academic and research infrastructure. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak, Rector of Istanbul University, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Haluk Alkan, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Ramazan Muslu, Head of Biostatistics Department Prof. Dr. Eray Yurtseven and General Secretary Metin Küçük have visited our city with a delegation. The delegation welcomed by our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan and our General Secretary Assoc. Dr.İbrahim Baz. Accompanied by Cizre District Governor Davut Sinanoğlu, the delegation firstly visited Dengbej House. Firstly, a concert was performed by the dengbejs, for dinner. Later, the Red Madrasa, the Tomb of the famous Sufi poet Ahmed el-Cezeri, the famous scientist who laid the foundations of the computer and made the first robot in the world, Hz. Nuh Nebi's tomb and Mem u Zin's tomb were visited. After the visits, the delegation came to Şırnak together with the Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erkan and General Secretary Assoc. Dr. İbrahim Baz to visit Şırnak Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan. In the meeting held at the Governor's office, evaluations were made about the joint projects, studies and activities to be implemented by Şırnak University and Istanbul University within the scope of YÖK Anatolian Project.
