International Molla Ahmed Al-Jazari Symposium, jointly organized by the Governorship of Şırnak, Cizre District Governorate and Cizre Municipality with our university, started at the Cizre Municipality Cultural Center. To the opening of the symposium to be held between 30 November and 2 December; Former Minister Food, Agriculture and Lİvestock Dr. Mehmet Mehdi Eker, Governor of Şırnak Osman Bilgin, Deputy Mayor of Şırnak İhsan Gören, Rector Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış, Cizre District Governor and Deputy Mayor Nazlı Demir, members of the protocol, many academics and citizens attended the symposium. The International Molla Ahmed al-Jazari Symposium, which started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, was followed by a recitation of the Holy Quran.The first speech in the opening program of the symposium was made by the Chairman of the Symposium Organizing Committee, our former General Secretary Assoc. Dr. Ibrahim Baz. Then, Cizre District Governor and Deputy Mayor Nazlı Demir made a speech.Our Rector Prof. Dr. Abdurrahim Alkış emphasizing that every nation expresses their love and affection for Allah with different terms and benefits in their own language, followed as; "“Scholars like Ibn-ul Farız in Arabic, Mevlana Cellaleddin-i Rumi in Persian, Yunus Emre in Turkish, and Melayê Cizîrî in Kurdish have always written poems that have the same meanings. Although they differ, the beauty they approve is always the same.People of the heart, such as Melayê Cizîrî, have been a means of breathing for the world of humanity in hard times."The symposium continued with the speeches of Şırnak Governor Osman Bilgin and former Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Dr Mehdi Eker. After the speeches, Governor of Şırnak Osman Bilgin thanked Prof. Dr. İhsan Süreyya gave a certificate of appreciation and flowers to him.The symposium ended after three sessions with various presentations.
