The Textile Workshop, Şal-Şepik Workshop, Mushroom Production Facility and Worm Fertilizer Facility established at our university, contribute greatly to the production and employment in our city. Approximately 500 people have been employed in the textile workshop established on our campus in cooperation with Şırnak Governorship, Şırnak Municipality, our University and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is also aimed to export clothing from Şırnak to the European and US markets by increasing the production capacity in the workshop where young people are employed. The Şal-Şepik Workshop which was jointly established by Şırnak Governorship, Şırnak Municipality, our University, the GAP Administration and the Provincial Directorate of National Education has been set up and put into operation on the campus of our university and also has become a job for many young people. In addition, the Mushroom Production Facility was established on our campus by our women entrepreneurs with the support of our University. Two entrepreneur women who produce 200 kilograms of mushrooms a day in the facility they set up at our university, sell their products to the surrounding provinces. The women entrepreneurs employed 15 people in the facility they established. Our university supported also the production of California worm manure by providing space for the young entrepreneur Agricultural Engineer Abdulmuttalip Kocaman. Agricultural Engineer Kocaman, who started production with 600 thousand worms, has increased the number of worms to 1.5 million in 4 months. Thus, Worm fertilizer, which has been used in developed agricultural countries for more than 70 years in the world, started to be produced in Şırnak for the first time.
